Job Opportunities

Technical Director

Duties include overseeing part time technical staff, maintaining/updating theater schedule, acting as primary technical contact for all productions, overseeing all productions, coordinating load in/out with building security and facility coordinator, acting as primary advisor to staff regarding theater operational and capital budgeting, budgeting for and ordering supplies & performing minor maintenance.

Position required BA degree and/or 2-3 years experience in Technical Theater; previous supervisory experience; ability to program and operate large format theatrical stage lighting system; program and operate large platform audio equipment; operate large/small format multi-input video projection system; design repertory lighting plots for rental events; read and interpret professional lighting plots; read and understand concert technical riders; have excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to maintain composure under pressure; be familiar with PC based business software such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point; ability to work long hours & flexible schedule including weekend days and evenings.

Internship Opportunities

Maryland Hall has a number of internships available throughout the year.

  • Exhibition Program Interns: Responsibilities include marketing and administrative duties and installation of exhibits (includes heavy lifting, hanging work, painting gallery walls and adjusting lights).
